How to Set Aside Money for a New Car

Whether you are purchasing your very first car or your current vehicle has finally broken down—or maybe you have even gotten into a car accident—one thing is for sure: owning a car is crucial. Without a car, you have limited means of getting from one place to another, regardless of whether or not you live in a city where public transportation is readily available. Having a car and license are critical elements of being an adult, allowing you the freedom to go anywhere you want, when you need to.

However, when money is a little tight, the car-purchasing process can be a huge hassle. In order to make purchasing a car less difficult, this guide is here to help you out:

1. Do as Much Saving as Possible

Do you enjoy going out on the weekends? Do you find yourself eating out for lunch and dinner a little more than you should? Are you always buying clothes that you don't need? Do you drink or smoke a lot? These are unnecessary costs that drive up your bills and sap your available funds. Try cutting down on these costs by packing your own food or simply cooking homemade meals, limiting your outings and shopping sprees to special occasions, and reducing your indulgence in certain habits. The amount of money you can save will shock you.

2. Work Two Jobs

If, after cutting down on unnecessary expenses, you still don't have enough income to purchase a car, there's always the possibility of a second job. Even if the job doesn't pay particularly well, the extra money can often be the boost you need to afford that car. You could opt for anything from a retail job on the weekends to a bartending gig at night. Sure, you might be a little more exhausted than usual, but it beats not having a car at all.

3. Ask for Help

There is no shame in asking for help when you need a new car. In fact, asking for money as a birthday or Holiday present is the perfect opportunity to get that extra cash. If you know someone (a parent, say) who might be able to lend you enough to afford a vehicle, you can always pay them back in installments.

If you are trying to set money aside for a new car, remember that you have several options that can make things affordable for you. Financing, leasing, and buying used are all options that can help you save. Once you feel financially capable of taking on the challenge, you can visit our local Toyota dealers in NJ and get yourself on the road.

Looking for a Used Vehicle? Go With Certified Toyota Dealers in NJ

Car buyers have a lot of options on their plate when deciding what type of used car to buy and where to buy it. With the multitude of car buying options available to consumers in New Jersey, it can be hard to nail down the right choice. However, more car buyers are discovering the unique benefits that purchasing a Toyota certified used vehicle has to offer. Find out why people trust certified Toyota dealers in NJ like Autoland for their car buying needs.

Why Toyota?

There is a reason why Toyota has etched out a niche for itself in the top echelon of car companies that consumers have come to trust. Toyota has developed a long reputation for being a go-to car company for both new and used vehicles. Chief among these reasons is the fact that Toyotas are some of the longest lasting cars in production today. Unlike the cookie-cutter vehicles churned out on other assembly lines, Toyota cars are made to last and, by and large, they do.

Certified Used Vehicles

Getting great value out of a Toyota vehicle does not necessarily require buying new. Purchasing certified used from a Toyota dealer in NJ is an economical and smart choice to get a car that may last longer than some brand new cars made by other companies. Buying used makes some people nervous, but by going with a certified used Toyota, apprehensions can be alleviated as they come with some impressive guarantees not often found in used cars.

We are confident that you will be more than pleased by the certified used Toyota cars we have in stock. Prius Plug-In Hybrids Arrive At New Jersey Toyota Dealers

Creating artificial demand is a common tactic among retailers. Whether it is a limited release of a new game console or a record label releasing tracks of a new album online before it officially drops, stirring up the fervor for a product can embolden early sales. And as New Jersey Toyota dealers will soon find out, nothing stirs up fervor like high gas prices.

This week, Toyota announced that the Prius Plug-In Hybrid would be arriving at select dealerships. The rollout would be managed, reports said, starting in certain "launch states" Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington. Availability will open up to all other states in 2013. Since the announcement, reviews have further stirred interest in the first plug-in Hybrid from America's number one car brand that are expected to send potential customers flocking to Toyota dealers in NJ as well as in launch states around the country.

First of all, when compared with the Chevy Volt, the Prius Hybrid wins the mpg war. Consumer reporting shows the Prius Plug In Hybrid will offer between 60 and 75 miles per gallon, with frequent electric charges in between. This tramples the already-stellar traditional Prius (51hwy / 48city).

With the Prius redesign released this year, Toyota reduced the price tag, bringing it down closer to the price of the Camry. As a result, the plug-in Prius goes back up to the $32,000 price tag. But with gas savings estimate at literally thousands per year, owners can recoup the extra cash spent on the car payment.

Toyota dealerships expect to see the new cars on the lot this month, sending invites first to privileged customers and folks who made the waiting list. The car should become more widely available after that.

Toyota Dealers Take Top Honors In Consumer Reports Annual Auto Issue

From a Prius reboot to redesigned classic SUV models like the Rav4 and Highlander, it has been a banner year for Toyota, cementing its slot as the top selling automaker in America. And according to Consumer Reports 2012 Annual Auto Issue, released this week, there are many good reasons for this. A common bellwether for car dealers in NJ and around the country, Consumer Reports nominated five Toyota models to its Top 10 car picks in 2012.

Toyota dealers in NJ and across the country have seen this success borne out as Toyota added more dealerships in 2011 than any other US auto maker. The reason, Consumer Reports claims, is in the company's willingness to change with customer desires, adding popular features but not losing overall reliability, safety and value.

The company released a new edition of its popular hybrid Prius, along with redesigns of the Rav4 and Highlander SUVs. But it was additions to the best-selling Camry and minivan Sienna that propelled Toyota dealerships in 2011.

Toyota introduced an improved Camry Hybrid, a family sedan offering a best-in-class 38 miles per gallon that tops many smaller hybrids that lack the Camry's performance. The 2012 also offers many improved internal features, quicker pickup and sportier handling.

The Sienna minivan actually received a lower rating than last year's model. But with car manufacturers turning away from the Minivan market, many brands allowed their minivans to decline in quality, offering below-average reliability in Consumer Reports testing. The Sienna came out well ahead of all challengers.

Improving fuel economy continues to be a big draw for consumers as gas prices continue to rise. The Toyota Rav4 and Highlander redesigns both came with vastly improved numbers at the pump, drawing new consumers to visit a Toyota dealer in 2011. With marks like these, this trend is likely to continue well into 2012.
